PRSD receives $100,00 for preliminary planning

Preliminary funding came through at $100,000 for the ongoing Eagle Butte modernization project.
In the meeting held a month ago for the planning, they took the time to discuss the needs for the community and school. At this point, there is no funding that came forward for the project.
They are looking at structural needs, space needs and design needs, with the architects then coming up with a drawing for a building based on the square footage funded by Alberta Education, and the needs of the community.
The planning part takes between a year or two, looking at what the needs of the community are, how much money there will have to be, the space needed for different things and where it will be located on the land.
Schuler school is still in the planning phases, with a preliminary design being discussed along with the start of some site work to determine possible locations at the school.
