The Town of Redcliff is excited to host its annual Fall Festival on Sept. 19 at the Redcliff ball diamonds.
However, there will be a different look this year with the Festival and its safety protocols.
“Because there is a limit of 100 people allowed to gather outdoors at this time, we have broken the Fall Festival into two groups and request that those interested in attending to reserve a spot,” said Carla Spampinato, the town’s FCSS coordinator.
“Everyone will be reminded to physically distance and to use sanitizer that is provided. It is also highly recommended to wear a mask, tables will be spaced out and only a certain number of cohorts will be allowed in the activity ring at one time.”
This year’s Fall Festival will have several food trucks, Dan Howard and the Availables for live music, a pumpkin carving station will be set up and attendees can create a make-and-take scarecrow.
People will have to bring pants and a hat for the scarecrows , while the town will provide the rest of the supplies.
“These stations will allow for replacement or sanitization of items before the next cohort takes their turn,” she said.
There will be two movies showing including Missing Link at 8 p.m. and Ford vs. Ferrari at 10 p.m.
Town council approved the festival with some guidelines that had to be met.
“They wanted to make sure our plan was as safe and compliant as possible while still making it a fun and enjoyable event,” said Spampinato.
Attendees are asked to register for the Fall Festival at Redcliff.ca and click on online bookings.
The time slots to sign up for are 11 a.m.to 1 p.m. or 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Spampinato says the event is also looking for volunteers.
