Mounties in Redcliff are investigating after a car flipped on the Trans-Canada Highway near Bowell, then was struck by an oncoming vehicle on March 16.
One person was taken to hospital via ground ambulance after the crash at 4:40 a.m. near Range Road 80, west of Redcliff.
Cypress County fire crews also attended the scene which detoured traffic until the late morning. Police say a passenger vehicle was headed west when it entered the ditch meridian and flipped on its side. It was then struck by an eastbound passenger vehicle. A 45-year-old man was in hospital, but no other injuries were reported.
Weather conditions and heavy fog are initially believed to be contributing factors in the crash.
