Growth, services key pillars of Karl by-election campaign

Mel Karl is one of two candidates running in the Village of Foremost by-election that will be taking place on May 28.

“Foremost is a small community, and I think everybody should do their part once in a while, so I just thought I would run,” said Karl. “I think everybody should take a crack at running for Council someday.”

Born and raised in Foremost, Karl emphasizes that Foremost is a great community.

“I’ve just been part of the community my whole life, and just want to try and help, see if I can,” said Karl. “I just want to try and help out and do what I can and see if I can help be a good Councillor for the rate payers. My idea of a Councillor is trying to provide the best services for the rate payers.”

Karl believes that being from a small community helps shape a person.

“I think small town values are good,” said Karl. “If you want to be involved, get involved. Just try and try and do good for the community. Try and build the community.”

If elected to Council, Karl states that he wants to try and keep things good. Karl says he also wants to expand the village and do what he can to help keep the village alive.
