Issue 19: Energy
Estimates from 2022 (the last year for which I have figures) are that between three and five trillion dollars ( U.S. dollars) are waiting to be spent by governments, by businesses, and by non-governmental organizations and private individuals, world-wide, on non-fossil fuel energy. Fossil fuel use must decline, world-wide, because more and more people understand and admit that fossil fuel use is killing us as a species (and many other species) on Earth.
Question Nineteen (a)
What steps will the government of an independent Alberta take to wind down the fossil fuel industry in Alberta?
Question Nineteen (b)
How will the government of an in dependent Alberta assist workers, now in the fossil fuels industries, to transition to other employment?
Question Nineteen (c)
What will the government of an independent Alberta do to attract investments in Alberta from the 3 to 5 trillion dollars, described above, and to assist Alberta businesses selling out of Alberta and into that $3 to $5 trillion market?
