For 55 years, the Foremost Theatrical Society has brought live performance to the community, and this year’s production is no exception. Director Lee Harty and Assistant Director Janice Klatt are excited to present the dinner theatre production Hurry Hard, running from Nov. 26-28, 2026, in the Foremost Community Hall.

Harty says, “Hurry Hard is a play written by Kristen Da Silva. It takes place at a local curling club and revolves around a bonspiel and the team that will eventually play for the regional championship. We chose this play because it is so relatable to our small town, with the curling club setting and characters the audience will really root for. I am especially pleased we can support a Canadian playwright as well.

This year’s production brings together a mix of fresh faces and familiar ones.

“This year we are welcoming new cast member Ted Swanson from Milk River to Foremost Theatrical Society, as well as returning actors Chris Sopal, Marianne Payne, and Heather Walsh,” says Harty. “After a long absence, Paul Laqua is back on the stage, and he and his character are particularly entertaining.”

She continues, “This very experienced group has been very fun to direct. Every rehearsal we laugh at something new, including trying to teach Marianne how to curl and count how many pushups Paul can do!”

A Foremost Theatrical Society evening is as much about the meal as it is about the show. This year’s production includes a roast beef buffet with all the trimmings, catered by The Butcher Shop of Milk River, along with a fully stocked bar featuring signature cocktails.

The evening starts with cocktails at 5:30 p.m., dinner is served at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m.

“Tickets are $60 per person and are available from November 2nd at Agro Plus in Foremost,” Harty says. Guests should go to the Agro or call 403-867-2436 for tickets early, before the shows sell out.

As Foremost Theatrical Society celebrates 55 years of bringing live performance to the community, Hurry Hard is the perfect chance to support local theatre and enjoy a fun night out while supporting local theatre and Canadian playwrights. Get your ticket today.
