The Eagleridege reservoir is getting underway with the water storage facility holding 2000 cubic metres of potable water to serve Dunmore, Irvine and Walsh.

Doran Jensen, utilities supervisor of Cypress County said that right now the base is poured and the walls are being poured, so there is a lot of concrete work underway at this point in time.

He said they needed more reservoir capacity and holding capacity, which will then be the pump station that is tied to the Irvine and Walsh pipeline project. It’s all the same project that will push water out to Irvine and then to Walsh.

The Irvine plant is due for upgrading and is past its intended lifespan and so it’s a matter of analyzing what the best way to plan it is.

Jensen said they are estimating the reservoir to be completed as of Jan. 31, 2015.
