Charges laid in MVC near Redcliff

Redcliff RCMP and local emergency services responded to a two vehicle collision on Saturday evening which sent three local men to hospital. A GMC Jimmy and a Pontiac Sunfire collided on Saamis Drive a few kilometres outside of Redcliff on March 12 at approximately 7 p.m.
According to the RCMP the Sunfire was eastbound on Saamis Drive and crossed the center line, colliding with the Jimmy. Two occupants of the Jimmy were taken to hospital with injuries and the driver, and lone occupant, of the Sunfire had to be removed with the assistance of the Redcliff Fire Department. He was also taken to the hospital with more serious, but non-life threatening, injuries.
The Redcliff RCMP says its has completed its investigation and neither alcohol nor drugs appears to have been a factor in the collision. The driver of the Sunfire has been charged with driving to the left of center under the Traffic Safety Act.
