A presentencing report was ordered for a man who pled guilty to defrauding a Redcliff School program.
Scott Schuett was originally set to be sentenced on Tuesday, but instead Crown and defence submitted an agreed upon statement of facts, and the judge ordered a presentencing report to be written.
Schuett was charged with two counts of theft over $5,000 in October 2015 after it was discovered he’d stolen nearly $30,000 while providing book-keeping services for the IF Cox after school care program, run by the Parent Advisory Association.
Sentencing is now set for Jan. 13, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. in Courtroom 7. The delay is also meant to help give Schuett more time to work towards restitution.
