The Foremost Flyers majors baseball team earned a bye into the league finals as hosts on July 24 after finishing the regular season with a record of 7-1.
The team that is comprised of 11- and 12-year-old players opened the season at home on June 21 with a nail-biting 13-9 win over Picture Butte before winning 16-4 over Coaldale on June 23.
On July 5, the Flyers beat Coaldale in a much closer affair 13-8, while on July 8 Foremost doubled up Picture Butte 6-3.
The Flyers experienced their first loss of the season at the hands of Picture Butte with a score of 11-10 on July 12.
The team was able to get back on track a couple nights later with a 15-4 shellacking of Coaldale.
Foremost edged Coaldale 16 to 14 on July 20 and wrapped up the regular season with a 14-7 win over Picture Butte.
The baseball club is looking to repeat as league champs.
