“The vision of the program is to change lives through adult foundational learning in connected communities,” said Mandy Pack of Medicine Hat College Pathways – Adult Learning Foundations. “It builds on the interests/needs of an individual and promotes and provides pathways for participants to reach their goals.”

The program, Pack says, was formerly known as ABLE and Forty Mile Community Adult Learning ad became Pathways – Adult Learning Foundations at the end of November 2023. Funding for the program, Pack says, comes from the Government of Alberta.

“Pathways Adult Learning Foundations offers programming and support in basic reading, writing, math, digital skills, and skills for learning in both in-person and online learning environments,” said Pack.

All adults are eligible to participate in small group learning, one on one learning, and independent learning classes, Pack says.
