The Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta (CFSEA) is excited to announce that the Fall 2025 Community Grant Cycle is officially open! This is an incredible opportunity for local charities and non-profit organizations to secure funding to fuel impactful community programs and initiatives. If your organization is passionate about addressing the pressing needs of our community, now is the time to act.

For years, CFSEA has been a driving force behind empowering local organizations to create meaningful change. This grant cycle continues that tradition by supporting projects that tackle the most significant challenges facing our region. From helping underserved populations to championing innovative solutions, the goal is to make a lasting difference where it’s needed most.

Executive Director, Niki Gray, says “At the Community Foundation, we see firsthand how local charities and non-profits transform lives in our region. Our Community Grants are an opportunity to support that work by helping organizations address urgent needs, strengthen their capacity, and create lasting impact. We’re excited to see the innovative projects that will come forward in this cycle.”

Non-profit leaders and volunteers work tirelessly to improve lives, and they understand that funding is often the biggest hurdle. These grants are designed to bridge that gap, helping your organization turn vision into reality.

The Fall 2025 grant cycle is open to local charities and non-profit organizations that are dedicated to serving the community. Whether your focus is on education, healthcare, food security, housing, or another critical area, this grant can help you strengthen your initiatives.

Eligible applicants include registered charities, municipalities, churches, schools/school boards, and registered non-profit societies in good standing that have been active for a minimum of five years.

CFSEA focuses on funding programs that address the most pressing issues in the region such as:

• Health and Wellness: Initiatives aimed at improving physical, mental, and emotional health.

• Education Access: Empowering youth and adults through quality education and skills training.

• Social Equity: Supporting programs that address systemic inequalities and promote inclusion.

• Basic Needs: Ensuring access to food, housing, and other essential services for underserved populations.

If your organization’s mission aligns with any of these goals, this grant cycle is a perfect opportunity to amplify your efforts.

Timeliness is crucial for securing funding during this highly competitive grant cycle. Deadlines keep the process fair and efficient, so make sure to mark your calendars and act promptly! Remember, late applications will not be considered, so don’t wait until the last minute to get started.

Key dates are: a letter of intent by September 2, and the application submitted by September 15.

Opportunities like the Fall 2025 Community Grant Cycle don’t come around every day. By securing funding through this program, your organization could expand its reach, increase its impact, and help transform lives in the community. Additionally, funding is competitive, so starting early gives you a critical advantage. The sooner you begin preparing your application, the more time you’ll have to refine it and make a compelling case for your project.
