Cathy Hogg announces she will not seek re-election as Prairie Rose trustee

After 12 years of dedicated service, Cathy Hogg, a long-standing trustee for the Prairie Rose School Division, has announced she will not be seeking re-election this October. In a heartfelt statement, Hogg expressed her gratitude and reflected on her time in the role.

“It is with mixed emotions that I share I will not be seeking re-election this October,” Hogg says. “Serving as Prairie Rose trustee for the past 12 years has been one of the greatest honours and pleasures of my life.”

Hogg’s decision marks the end of a significant chapter in her career, during which she has been a steadfast advocate for education and local representation. She emphasizes the importance of her seat being filled by someone who will serve with the same level of passion and commitment.

“I sincerely hope that my seat on the board will be filled by someone from our ward who can continue to provide strong local representation,” she notes.

Hogg described the role of trustee as “deeply rewarding” and encourages those interested in running to consider the opportunity. For those considering stepping into this role, nomination papers must be submitted to the Prairie Rose School Division office by September 22, along with the results of a criminal records check.
