Get ready, Bow Island! The Curtis Kerner Memorial U13 Hockey Tournament is almost here, and this year’s event promises to be another incredible display of skill, sportsmanship, and community spirit. From January 17 to 19, the Bow Island Servus Arena will come alive as five talented U13 hockey teams hit the ice to honour the memory of Curtis Kerner and celebrate the love of the game.

This annual tournament holds a special place in the hearts of the Bow Island community as a heartfelt memorial to Kerner, a young hockey enthusiast who passed away far too soon. The tournament kicks off at the Bow Island Servus Arena on January 17 at 4 p.m. with the first puck drop. With games running over three days, from January 17 to 19, there are plenty of opportunities to join in and watch future hockey stars showcase their skills.

One of the things that makes this event so special is its accessibility. There’s no admission fee to attend, making it a fun and free way to spend time with friends, family, and neighbours. Whether you’re a lifelong hockey fan or just looking for a reason to come together with others in the community, this tournament is for everyone!

The ice is ready, the players are eager, and Bow Island is buzzing with anticipation. Join the fun at the Bow Island Servus Arena from January 17 to 19 and help us make this first year of hosting the tournament in this new location a memorable one.
