The 2025 season has been busy for the Foremost Historical Society so far with the completion of several projects, school tours, setting up new displays, and preparing for the Foremost rodeo July weekend.

The first project that was completed was the planning and printing of pamphlets detailing what our facility has to offer tourists visiting the Village of Foremost. These pamphlets have a variety of colour photos detailing some of our historical antiques and archives. Pamphlets have been distributed to tourist information and other tourist sites throughout southern Alberta advertising our facility in Foremost.

The largest project for this upcoming season was the construction and creation of portable signage advertising our facility at each of the three entrances leading into the Village of Foremost. The signs indicate where we can be found in Foremost and advertise our offering of free admission, free Wi-Fi, free Sunday popcorn, public washrooms, and a great display of antiques and selection of historical archives.

May and June were busy this year with Foremost School class tours as well as Foremost School staff spending part of their school improvement day touring and checking out the various displays and archives that could be beneficial in enhancing their school programs. Sundays so far this season have been busy with people dropping in for the free coffee and popcorn and checking our offerings on Foremost history.

Foremost July rodeo weekend has us busy preparing our rodeo parade float and our trade show booth at the Foremost Civic Center rodeo Saturday. New donations are arriving and also keeping us busy reorganizing our displays to enhance the visitor experience.
