Locally owned and operated, Amberwood Crafted Tiny Homes proves that great things can come in small packages. Their homes are designed for Canadian winters, are towable, and combine craftsmanship with creativity to ensure every detail provides a solution for your needs.

Joshua Hiebert says, “I started building tiny homes in fall 2022 with a different company. In spring 2025, the Hiebert Group purchased and rebranded the business as Amberwood Crafted Tiny Homes, and I stayed on as Head of Sales & Production. I’ve always been passionate about building high-quality, functional homes, and this transition was an exciting opportunity to grow something special.”

Hiebert was joined by Fearghus Heatley during the transition. Heatley works directly with clients on the sales side, and leads much of the hands-on building.

“His skill and versatility are a huge part of what makes our process run smoothly,” says Hiebert.

Amberwood has a solution for everyone – those looking for a stationary home and those looking for a home to take on the road. A variety of park models, RV models, and custom builds are available for delivery across North America.

Three new models currently in development are:

• The Yukon – A bold, adaptable design with clean lines and a smart layout

• The Sedona – Warm, welcoming, and great for everyday living or hosting

• The Moab – Compact, efficient, and perfect for a minimalist lifestyle

Heatley notes, “Each model is being developed with its own unique layout, finishes, and feel — and they’ll offer a range of options for full-time homes, guest spaces, or vacation properties.”

These homes are a great choice for many reasons. Heatley points out more of the benefits.

“Tiny homes are a practical and creative solution for a variety of needs. Whether someone’s downsizing, creating a backyard suite, building a vacation rental, or looking for a more affordable entry into home ownership, tiny homes offer flexibility, lower maintenance, and thoughtful design, all in a smaller footprint.”

Hiebert adds, “We take pride in combining high quality craftsmanship with personalized service. Our clients work directly with us, the people building the homes, and that makes a big difference. We also care deeply about the details, which shows in the final product. Our ability to communicate clearly and deliver consistently has built a strong foundation for our success.”

“We offer a truly custom and hands-on building experience,” he continues. “Each home is carefully handcrafted, and clients are part of the process every step of the way. We don’t cut corners, and we don’t mass-produce. Our small, dedicated team — including Fearghus, who plays a key role in both sales and construction — brings deep expertise and care to every build. What really sets us apart, though, is our customer service. We’re known for being responsive, honest, and easy to work with. We offer one of the best warranty programs out there, and we genuinely care about our clients — before, during, and long after the build. That commitment is a core part of who we are.”

The world of tiny homes also includes things like zoning and permitting, which differ quite a lot from region to region. Amberwood can help advise clients on this, depending on where the home will be placed.

“The greatest reward is handing over a finished build and seeing the excitement on our clients’ faces, knowing we’ve created a space that fits their lifestyle perfectly. It’s a real privilege to be part of that process,” smiles Heatley.

Although the rebrand and rollout as Amberwood is still recent, the company is thrilled to receive plenty of positive feedback and strong interest in its upcoming models.

“That support and momentum are something we’re proud of, and we look forward to more formal recognition as we grow,” says Hiebert.

What does the future hold for Amberwood?

“Our main focus right now is launching our new models: the Yukon, the Sedona, and the Moab. Each has been thoughtfully designed to meet different needs and styles of living. We’re also refining our production process to maintain our handcrafted quality while allowing for more builds. Growth is definitely in the picture — but it will always be intentional, design-driven, and customer-focused.”

With gratitude they conclude, “A huge thank you to our incredible build team, whose attention to detail and pride in their work make everything possible. To our clients, thank you for trusting us with your homes — your vision and enthusiasm inspire what we do every day. Also, a big thank you to the Hiebert Group for investing in this company and helping to shape its future.”
